What a wonderful adventure for your family, an unforgettable journey and something you all will treasure forever. I’ve sent the link to my daughter to plant the seed. I hope it bears fruit! ¡Buen camino!
🤙🏽
I just prefer using books and maps that I can flip thru and hold, and sure, the internet to an extant. Oh yeah, also people like those on this forum add greatly to my knowledge about my Camino, thank you very much, intricate. Generational gap? Meh…Unfamiliarity? My head isn’t buried in the sand…...
Who knows? I wouldn’t be surprised if in my case it was a combination platter of my feet, the way I walk, the shoes, the lacing of the shoes, the tides, if the moon is in the 7th house and Jupiter is aligned with Mars🤷🏽♂️. Vamos a ver…😃
Ah ha! I take it you refer to the inside lining. If so, I had the same problem with a previous pair of Oboes and my last pair of Hoka road walkers. I did the same with the ol’ duct tape standby repair. And after watching a couple of YouTube vids and picking my friendly neighborhood REI shoe...
Hmm. After going to my local REI and trying on Speedgoat 5s, Challengers ATR 7s and the Stinson ATR 6s, I got the Stinsons as the toe box felt a little roomier. So, Robo, do you recall where on the shoe they first began to fall apart? Thanks…🤙🏽
I agree with you 100%. I’ve flown Paris direct from Mexico City as well as LA, Dallas and the DC area, and I think your plan is spot on. If you have the time and “las ganas” to do the Paris route, why not? I would. I will. Then another time I may throw myself a curveball and try flying into...
So, señoritas, señoras y señores “moderadores”, dontcha think it’s time to put this baby to rest? I’m a bit tuckered out from all the back and forth…😵💫
Well said, Woody66. A very diplomatically delivered response that highlights what this forum is/should be all about - sharing a sense of community between folks who have walked, are currently walking or are, like me, planning a Camino. You (as in “ustedes”) who have so much experience in walking...
Or start a bit before at the Tour Saint-Jacques. It is all that remains to us of the Eglise Saint-Jacques-de-la-Boucherie which was destroyed in 1797. Pilgrims gathered here to begin their camino on the Via Toronensis or Tours route. Tho’ you can’t climb the tower (great views, btw) until tours...
I am also going thru the shoe buying process and it has been time consuming, but as so many of the experienced forum participants emphasize, wearing the correct shoes for your feet is número uno. As for the Skechers, yep, they’re comfy, have a wide selection and look ok… but, nah, not Camino...
August may be a good time to go, actually. Strikers may want to target the last 3 weeks of September and the first 3 of October when the Rugby World Cup will be played in something like 9 French cities😬
