Yes we talked about going back one day to do that one. This year we are off to do the Via Francigena through Italy. There are just so many hikes to do and not enough time or money. :(
Walked the C2C back in 2013. Fantastic walk. I've done quite a few long distance walking before this. Was Hubbies first long distance walk. He coped well. I don't think it was as hard as say the Del Norte but it was challenging in the first few days going over the lakes districts. We went in May...
It was a very wet rainy day on the Portugese camino in October so to keep going while sloshing in my boots I was singing
"It's raining it's pouring. The pilgrims are snoring. They bumped their heads on their bunk beds and couldn't get up in the morning. "
Not great but hey.
Sure thing Odem. I just booked our flights that leave on the 1st May to fly into Milan then we will head up to Aosta the following day and stay the night there then begin walking the following day. I haven't sat down and really looked too hard at the trail just been gathering as much info. I...
Yes I have to agree. I just finished walking from Lisbon yesterday and I would have to say of all the trails I have walked throughout the world this one was the worst when it came to trash. A lot I feel was from pilgrims where they just discarded their water bottles etc. But also a lot of home...
Stayed there 3 nights ago. Antonio was just fab. Fantastic place to stay. Also stayed at Fernanda's and would recommend that as well. Then stayed at the new albergue Ninho. One of my best nights sleep.
Thankyou Laurie. I'm in Coimbra ATM. Been having a grand time. Have to say this trail is so well marked! I'm finding it easy to follow though having said that I will probably get lost now. Met some great people and loving the kindness that I'm coming across. Struggling with the heat. Never been...
I'm in Tomar currently having a rest day then hope to be in Porto by 6th rest day 7th leave 8th. Hard to say though how my body holds out exhausted from the humidity already. Though the day I rest it feels cooler. Funny that.
Thanks. Hope to see some others. Saw two in the cathedral yesterday getting their stamps but didn't look as though they were about to walk so hope today they start as well. As for the roadway yuk. But you take the good with the bad just scary.
I just arrived yesterday in Lisbon to start on the 23rd sept. I'm on my own. Excited nervous a little scared. But hey they are the feelings of a great adventure ahead. Hope to see some pilgrims along the way.
