Last year, from 2nd week of May My camino saw me walking the first week or so from SJPDP the weather was terrible, very heavy rain, wind, and cold. Had to buy gloves and a fleece having not taken any cold weather gear.... later on in my camino around Foncebadon it snowed And was very cold....

I too arrive in SJPP on July 1st. Walking to Santiago....Starting the morning after slow, slow walk up to Orisson. Staying at Gite Makila on arrival in sjpp...we will probably bump into each other on that first morning..buen camino Sunny
A lifetime has passed since I set out in July 2000, I got to just before Burgos before I had to come home. Never forgotten it and the memories are still strong..a superb experience. Things are a bit busier these days I read....twice as many pilgrims etc...
