    Ruta del Ebro: pictures.

It makes me sad, too, Eemeen, but at 83 there is a limit to my walking capability. I walk between 3 and 8 kms every day just to keep fit, but camino distances are now too far. I wrote this a couple of years ago: O I would go How gladly I would go Were feet and limbs not aching with old age. O...

Photo video from the mouth of Ebro via Zaragoza, Gallur to Tarazona

Wow! So many happy memories. I walked this route when I was 77 - my favourite of the seven caminos I walked. Now at 83 I think I really am past it - but I still walk a couple of miles every day! Not enough for a camino! Bless all peregrinos and keep them safe. Steve in sunny England.

That brought back so many happy memories. Sadly I have reached an age where long distance walking is no longer possible. God bless all peregrinos! Steve in England.

    Beware of price gouging

This happens especially in the larger towns and especially in Santiago. My diaries note how I might expect to pay up to10 Euros for a menu del dia, including a filling meal and either a bottle of local wine or a caraffe. I was then often charged 9 Euros for the Mdd .... plus 15 Euros for the...

Well done Bill! One of my favorite Caminos - so peaceful for most of the way. Great to see the main cathedral steps and door without scaffolding! And loved your other pictures, too. Greetings from East Anglia, U.K.

Learning Spanish - Methods, resources, experiences, etc.

As a peregrino you only need five words. "Estoy perdido. ¿Dónde está Santiago?" [I am lost. Where is Santiago?] Keep smiling: if you're walking in Portugal, the Portuguese love it when you speak in English! Steve; getting a bit past it for caminos; but who knows what 2022 will bring?!?

Camino Baix Maestrat from Vinaros (Mediterranean)?

I walked the Ebro camino a few years ago, and loved every minute of it's peaceful path. But I'll be content to [finally] walk this new section from my old town of Vinaros: I can keep the distances down to around 10 kms each day, as I know every town it passes through. Buen camino, amigos! Steve...

Camino Baix Maestrat from Vinaros (Mediterranean)?

OK OK everything is put back, year after year. I really hope to walk this camino in May 2022: heck I'll be 83 by then! If anyone has walked it, please tell me the difficulties and maybe problems walking over the Maistrat mountains. Is the camino well sign posted? Many thanks: God bless each one...

If you're walking the Portuguese camino backwards, does that make it a new one? The Camino Eseugutrop?

Death of a pilgrim from the Philippines

What a wonderful way and time to go: there must be many of us in our 80's who wouldn't be upset if our time came while on the Camino. RIP brother!
