LIVE from the Camino October 2020 Vezelay Camino Impressions

Hi Sara Thanks for sharing your videos. I love every moment watching it . You are inspiring me to consider the Vezelay route next year in stead of the GR78 (Piemont Pyreneen) which I was suppose to walk during Sept/Oct this year... Bonne marche. Dolfina

Le Puy to Conques October - Trip Report

Hi Longwei, on your recommendation we stayed a night at Jean at Bisquine du Jean in Saint Come d'Olt in April. He is so jovial and kind-hearted and he prepared the best dinner ever! We had a tremendous night listening to blues and speaking Frenglish. Great recommendation...thanks!

    Leaving Le Puy in May?

Hi Luka, I hope you are planning to blog. I am Afrikaans speaking, so your Dutch blogs are easy to follow. In August last year a friend and I walked from Cluny to Montbrison and then took a bus to Le Puy. We had the way almost to ourselves - met only 2 other pilgrims on 2 different occasions...

    Getting from Condom to Paris

Hi dadataxi, last year I also had to travel back to Paris from Condom. I took a bus from Condom - leaving from the train station at six o' clock in the morning - to Agen. From Agen to Paris (station Montparnasse) I took the TGV at 25 euros. I cannot remember how long the bus took, but I guess it...

If you happen to overnight in Miradoux, I recommend Gite d'etape Bonte Divine. The young couple did exquisite restoration of their house and the food is superb. Dolfina

Stay in Saugues or La Clauze?

You seem to be organized! This forum is such a wealth of information - in 2011 when I started planning I read all the posts from Kiwinomad and Gittiharre and it was tremendously helpful. The Le Puy route is stunning! Bon Chemin. (To PM, click on my Profile Picture and Start a Conversation.)

Detour from Figeac to Rocamadour and back to Cahors.

I loved the route. Rocamadour to Montfaucon 20 km ; Montfaucon to Auberge Rustica 24 km ; Auberge Rustica to Cahors 22 km. Coming towards Cahors one can choose to walk along the river or a longer way to get a view of Cahors from the top. I chose the latter one and did not regret it! I did not...

Detour from Figeac to Rocamadour and back to Cahors.

I walked Rocamadour to Condom last year and can strongly recommend Le Clos des Roses in Montfaucon - 20 kilometers after Rocamadour. It looks like you use the free download from www.chemindecompostelle.com - it is listed on Plan 10. If you happen to stay there : the demi-pension is a good...
