    Portugues or Frances?

My wife and I (coming from the USA) have just over 2 weeks starting 26 July. I walked the Camino Frances from St Jean in 2007, but my wife has not (yet) had the pleasure of the Camino. So I am of course looking forward to sharing that with her. I've been wondering if we should do the Portugues...

    Walking while expecting a child

I wonder if any forum members have experience/advice about the Camino for a couple expecting their first child (in early October). We're not focusing on hospital facilities at the moment. It's more if anyone has any experience to share on whether we are foolish to even consider doing 2-3 weeks...

Car Parking in St Jean De Pied de Port

In June 2007, I left my car in one of the campsites. Sadly, I can't remember which one but it was pointed out to me by the Tourist Office so I'm sure they could help you out. I had not booked a spot, just showed up and it remained there happily for 5 weeks under a tarpaulin. Cost around 50 euros...

    SANTIAGO TO finisterre-in august

Finisterre I´m just back in Santiago this morning after the walk to Finisterre. The albergues were VERY full, and quite a number of people were either on mattresses in the hallways, or even without mattresses at all as the albergue had run out. Now this is just before the July 25 feast so...

Hospitalera from Hell, another tale from a pilgrim...

Rabe albergue I stayed in this albergue 3 weeks ago. It was extremely nice. For sure, the hospitalera was particular about bed bugs, and indeed turned away a couple of people who had previously stayed in an albergue where she suggested there was a problem. Nevertheless, I found her quite...

Bus schedule from Finisterre to Santiago

Does anyone have information on the 2007 schedule? How many buses per day and at what times? Would be useful as I have a date in SdC on 23 July and need to know if I can make it to Finisterre in time remaining. Many thanks for any info.
