Does anyone know if there is a direct bus from Muxia to Santiago on a Friday?
If you need to change, any idea where? Which bus company so I can check timetables?
Thanks v much indeed for your help - and any other useful info - off to Fisterra/Muxia on Sun!
Thanks

Clearly, not in the big picture...
But to prevent blisters - do I need to invest in proper walking socks, rather than the usual cotton ones I wear everyday?
And if so, what are proper walking socks? Wool? also have some thicker nylon-y ones but they make my feet hot.
Advice gratefully...
Can anyone give me any information about the refugio at Manjarin? The Conf guide says it is basic - what does that mean exactly? Does it have blankets? (not planning to take a sleeping bag as travelling in July, just a silk liner). Any other info about it? Would you recommend staying there...
Anyone ever bought ALSA bus tickets online? Do they post them to you or do you pick them up somewhere?
Need to get a bus from Valladolid to Astorga, but there's only one I can get because my flight gets in on a sunday - would be really annoying to get there and find they're sold out, which is...
Am beginning my walk in Astorga and will be only moderately fit (ie will just about have walked 17km on occasional days, but not day after day) - plus it will be in the scorching heat of July. Am thinking of spending my first walking day covering the 21km or so to Rabanal - is this mad, given...
Am confused about whether I will need one - walking from Astorga to S de C from the beginning of July - some posts say it may be cold in the higher bits - will I need a sleeping bag, or just a sheet sleeping bag?

Does anyone know if it's possible to take taxis along the way between Astorga and Ponferrada? I'm not even sure how close to a drivable road the camino is... And if I'm flaking out and the refugio is full and I need a nice bed and shower - how do I call a taxi to come and rescue me?? My mobile...
I'm travelling with a friend who can only come for a short time. She will probably need to head back to Astorga (and from there to Valladolid) from either Rabanal del Camino, or possibly Ponferrada.
Does anyone know if there is a bus - and where I find out about times etc?
Thanks
CAthy
