Will it be that busy in 3-4 weeks time ?? I don't really want crowds when I go
If my back heals up (don't ask!) I am intending to do my first "mini camino" from Triacastela area in Sept
I want some solitude and time for reflection and meditation - maybe I should...
This may seem really weird but has anyone experienced back problems from wearing Crocs ?? (those lightweight moulded soft spongy shoes with holes in them)
I bought some crocs on holiday to try out as a lightweight shoe to wear in the evenings whilst on the Camino. They are bulky but really...

Hi
My starting point will be Triacastella or Cebreiro in early Sept.
I am flying in to Santiago then getting buses back to starting point.

Hi All
I'm a few months into my training and had a silly accident on Saturday.
Went and dropped a cast iron garden parasol base (in the box) on the toes of my left foot!! :x
I was wearing a soft running shoe so I guess at least my toes had a bit of cushioning.
I can see the funny side...
Hi Deborah
Did you complete your camino

I read with interest about the MCS - a colleague of mine suspects he may be suffering from MCS but is not having much joy with the doctors :?
Can I ask if you can actually get MCS diagnosed with a doctor - I see you...
Having done some planning over the last few months I have realised there are still a few things I don't know (long may it stay that way, what would I do with myself if there were nothing new to learn)
Rest days - Can you stay in the same albergue two nights - or do you have to move on? ...
the kit does not have to be expensive in my opinion, I nearly collapsed at the price of some Gore-Tex trousers in the high street - £100 !
I got some water-resistant (not waterproof) zip off trekking trousers in Lidl the other day for £5.99 - that's more like it !
If I get wet I get wet...
Having read this thread it put's me off a bit if its getting really busy
Some solitude and time for contemplation are key for me
I am planning to go Triacastela to SdC in early Sept (start walking on the 8th Sept) - will it still be very busy ??
If you can always be pretty much guaranteed...
No answers only more questions
Dear All
Thanks to everyone who has contributed to this thread- I've picked up some great tips
"there are no answers only more questions" - I think that has something to do with Taoist philosophy (at least that's what my T'ai Chi instructor always says)

Thanks
That's why I asked the question
There's a fair bit of safety stuff in the list that doesnt take up much volume or weight but I can whittle it down, I intend to whittle the list down to "essentials" anyway (easier said than done!)
As for the cat's flea collars - a friend once told...

I hadn't considered the Camino Portugues but the idea of getting to the coast at Finisterre has always appealed - I will need to check it out.
Are there many refugios on the camino portugues ?, I guess its a quieter...
Hi All
