My deepest sympathies on your sad loss. When i walked in 2014 i brought 2 stones from my parents grave but somehow lost them on the way. I was very upset but when i arrived at Cruz de Ferro i found i left my heart there and the emotion and sense of peace that i felt as i continued on my way...

Hi There My wife and i did that exact section last June and in the 12 days. We both wore sports shoes and had no problems at all. However a word of caution, we had amazing weather all the way and there are a few stages that i feel would be very difficult in sports shoes should the weather be...

Things I lost on the Camino

I did not lose anything as such but purchased what i thought to be washing liquid for our clothes that turned out to be blue dye. My poor white Nike tee-shirt was never the same again. I am sure the fellow pilgrims that witnessed my reaction in the wash room in O Cebreiro will never forget it.

How do people adjust to home after their return from the Camino?

I returned from my Camino at the end of June and for six weeks my return to the norms of work and home was constantly interrupted by flashbacks to the images and the people who shared that special time with my wife and I. As the months have gone by and i await the knee surgery that is required...
