    I will second that wholeheartedly.....probably the most enjoyable time walking for me, made especially magical because of the local contact & random acts of kindness that happened...I learnt a great deal on the Invierno & hope to walk it again this year....thank you SOOO much for the lovely post...

    Hi there..unfortunately I had to "finish " in Chantada, due to the bruised knee ligaments complaining too much...I hope to return & walk the last part with my fella next year!!..managed, after much rest & a little revelry in SdC during fiesta to at least complete my Camino Muxia...sooooo happy...

    Time to campeed, vaseline or duct tape?

    I am in the Vaseline camp myself, after developing blisters on both heels whilst sightseeing in Paris ( pre Camino, very silly idea!!)....I used just Compeed at first, but this made them far worse & by the time they were ready to come off, the infected blisters were just too big to cover...

    I took my fully loaded I pod nano, used it only on a very few occasions....soothing meditation sounds of waves to block the snoring at night, a couple of opera tunes to connect me to my fella back home & some selected tunes on the buses, trains heading home....otherwise the sounds of the walk...
