I am having difficulty finding out how to get to Belorado from Madrid airport. Arriving 6/1 at about 8 a.m. at airport. After customs and baggage claim, it should be about 9:30 a.m. Willing to take bus or train, or ? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Given your ambitious training schedule, I would suggest resting from 7 to 10 days before starting the Camino. I would however recommend you stretch up to the time of your hike.
Hi everyone. I will be arriving in Madrid on 5/31 and plan on taking a bus to Belorado to start my Camino. Can you tell me the name of the bus company so that I can obtain a schedule? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for following up. Ended my last Camino in Belorado last May. Would like to finish in Santiago this summer so I plan on starting from where I left off. Meeting a friend in Belorado. His first time and hopefully he has the right equipment. Hence my question about an equipment shop. Wasn’t...
Thanks so much for the reply. What month were you there?
I stayed at Cuatro Contones last May. Loved the friendly service and great food. Just prefer private room in the future.
Will be starting Camino in June from Belorado (long story). Two questions -
1. Is there a hiking / equipment store in town?
2. Can I pick up a Credential there?
Thanks in advance.
Hi all. Would appreciate help. Planning on a 2024 Porto to Santiago venture. I have walked the Camino Frances a few times and am totally ignorant about the Portuguese route. I am 77 years old and in pretty good shape and have used pack transit service in the past. Here are my questions:

Wore Merrill trail runners this year and loved them. Super comfortable, no blisters, able to handle the terrain. Sole is not as thick as my Keen's or Vasque's, and likely will not last as long, but for Camino hikes, it will be Merrill's.
I just returned from CF two weeks ago. The reason I cut my Camino short was that I couldn’t find a place to stay beyond Belorado. Everything was full. Had been reserving places two nights in advance. A bubble? Don’t know but I do know that it’s crowded. Would definitely suggest booking places as...
Thanks very much for your response. This is all new to me so I do have a couple of questions as a follow up. First, I assume you use the Spanish SIM card to make calls only in Spain. Correct? Does it cover texts as well? Am I assigned a different phone number or do I use my current one...
Planning Camino for April / May and would like help in determining which cell phone plan to use. My choices:
1. Purchase international phone plan in U.S. utilizing the T-Mobile network. I would be able to use for unlimited data, talk and text for 12 cents per minute. If anyone has used this...
I'm planning to return to the Camino in late spring or early summer. Would like help with the following:
1. Is the Camino open for business?
2. Any COVID related restrictions (Spain entry, safety precautions)?
3. Hotel availability?
4. Are cafe's open?
5. Is backpack delivery service...
