Hi Picosrider,
I am primarily a Mt. Bike rider. I also have selective memory - I tend to remember the good stuff! I tend to remember the awesome downhill sections and forget about the uphill sections that it took to get to them. So when I try to recall my ride on the Camino Frances, in 2007, I...
Hi
Thank you for the info! I will be sure to visit those places!
How much of your last trip was on roads? And how much was on the actual Camino Path? It seems that only a few bikers ride the actual Camino - is this true?
Thanks
George
Hi David,
My 11 yo and I will be riding a Bike Friday tandem and my 14 yo will be on her own Bike Friday Pocket companion. All Bike Fridays can break apart and go into Samsonite suitcases, that then becomes the trailer! They are AWESOME bikes and they are made Eugene, Oregon.

Hello from Portland (part 2)
I am very excited since there is less than one month to go till I will start my second pilgrimage, and this time I will be with my daughters (11 and 14 yo). Last time I did the Camino Frances around same time of year. We will be biking from Irun to Fisterra, from...
I have been reading about how busy the Camino Frances has been lately. My bike trip is from June 20 to July 2 and I am wondering if the Camino del Norte would be a good choice. Would someone please compare and contrast the two routes? I am flying into Barcelona.
Thanks!
George
Hello! I am from Portland Oregon and I will be biking the Camino Frances from June 19th to July 2nd. Looking forward to a wonderful adventure! Will there be anyone else biking the Camino at the same time as I am?
Cheers!
George
bus times/ energy bars
I am surprised that the train to Bayonne takes over 10 hours. Then time spent to St. Jean. Is it true that the trains do not accept bikes?
I guess I am being cheap since I get the energy bars and gels free. I also was not sure of there availablility in Spain and did...
I would like to bring enrgy bars and gels for my Bike ride on the Camino. Are you allowed to bring non perishables?
Is there anyong else planning to ride the camino the last two weeks of June?
Maps of the camino.
Thank you for the map info. It is a great website. When you go through customs in Europe - are you allowed to bring non-perishable food. I am wnting to bring nergy bars and gels?
Thank you! It seems that my map does not include many of the towns that either you mentioned or are on the websites you provided links to. Is there a detailed map on the web that I can accsess? Do you know if the Spains trains accept bikes?
I am flying into Barcelona and I am biking the Camino Frances. I am wondering where to enter the camino and how to get there. Is there another Camino from Barcelona that meets up with the beginning of the Camino in Western France?
Thanks
