In June of 2020 I will return. I cycled in 2013 by myself and walked with my wife in 2016. The 3rd time will be special as my granddaughter is walking with me. I hope she enjoys it as much as I have.
So here is a bit of advice for first time bikers if taking the trail. I am on the Camino now and have learned to slow down. Our first instinct is to ride as far and fast as you can. Luckily I realized after 3 days and a stomach bug to slow down. Don't plan your Camino on how far you can ride in...
After researching, planning, saving, packing, getting excited, getting nervous and plain old anxiety, there comes a point when you just put it into a higher power and except it. One month away from today, I will just start one pedal at a time and trust the Camino will take care of me.
I hope...
Could someone give me a step by step on how to get to Alsa bus station on Ave de America from the Airport? Thought about taxi, but really have no clue which is easiest.
The last thing I have yet to purchase is a pair of shoes to ride the Camino. I am mountain biking the walkers trail as much as possible so:
Do I need waterproof?
Should I choose shoes that I can walk in also?
Any ideas would be appreciated.
