My wife and I are starting from Arles on Mar. 1st. The Miam Miam Dodo shows a variant (variante par la digue) following the Petit Rhone. My question does anyone know the advantage between the regular route and the variant?
Leaving Mar. 2nd to walk Via Piemont (Via Garona/GR861) Toulouse to Lourdes; Lourdes to St. Jean. Wondering if anybody had any current information on the route?
I have walked the coastal route, but I am now interested in the interior route; however, there appears to be two interior routes, one starting in Tavira and one starting in Farminhao. Are there any guides to details of either routes, or does someone have current info on either of routes as to...

I am interested if anyone has any current information on the Via Domitia? The GR653D starting from Montgenevre to Arles. Route conditions, accomodations, etc.? Tentative start in September.

Planning to start in mid-Sept. from either Geneva or Le Puy, can I expect a sufficient number of accomodations to be open in October, or will they be much limited?
