I just wait for more informations about this albergue. Someone told me that the alternative is small hotels in the town center (more expensive)... I will walk on this camino about the may 8th.. so We have time to decide...

As I sweat a lot (even when it's cold!) I bought a e-Vent technology jacket : much more better than Gortex and less expensive. I bought it in New Zealand under MACPAC brand (only available in NZ and in Australia). I think that others brands should sell the same technology in others...

I can understand what you feel because I have got the same feelings after my "caminos" about this spanish people is in big trouble, You are a good man : so the only advice I can give you is :open your hearth and walk and walk again on thoose caminos, sleeping in albergues, eating their food...

I walked on the "camino frances" on april 2012. All albergue were open. The weather was not fine but not so bad . If you can't cross the Pyrenes by Orisson refuge because of the bad weather, you can cross by Valcarlos. It's not so amazing but it's safe It's nice but on more sealed...
