    Rental cars vs train/bus

Hi there, I would suggest to start in Sint Jean Pied de Port, it is only 7 km further but later you will regret this if you don't. It is easy to find transportation from Pamplona station to SJPP or to find parking place at SJPP. I parked my car in SJPP at a camping site. Cheap and guarded. My...

How to train for the Camino?

Hi there, Due to work and not making time free for training I walked 4 x 12.5 km as training. With the idea to use the first week of the Camino as training. The first day leaving SJPP I was hit by the elevation. In the Netherlands all's flat and so even if I wanted I could not train for it. I...

No time to prepare for the camino

If the Camino calls, answer. Use common sense and listen to your body. Go for it! I trained due to my work not more than 75km. Got good shoes ( I hope) and good equipment (backpack) With my 53 years I let the live, nature and the moment lead me. Buen Camino
