These dog owners should face consequences if their dogs are unleashed and attack people. Mention it to local police.

Lisbon recommendations for the first night stay.

We stayed at the Largo da Sé Guest House for two nights last April prior to starting our Camino. Good location down from the Cathedral and reasonable cost.

    Discount train card for pensioners

It looks like you can purchase a Tarjeta Dorado for one year on-line. It gives you the 1, 2 or 3 year option. Separately, can you use a digital card or do you need a physical card.

Where do ( did ) you walk locally in 2024?

A beautiful walk today up the Kilpatrick Hills to Loch Humphrey north of Clydebank in Scotland. I haven’t walked up here for months and it was good to get on this type of terrain to prepare me for the Camino del Norte in September. It was 10 mile door to door. We plan to do this walk 2 or 3...

    Zubiri or Larrasoana?

I stayed there on my second night. A thoroughly enyoble stay. A small room for women and a room with a sitting/kitchen area and 4 bunks off. We had a communal meal/wine all laid on by the hostess with breakfast in the morning. A good introduction to meet fellow pilgrims. We saw a few in...

    Lisbon to Porto: Jan 2024

I walked the Camino Portuguese starting April in Lisbon. I enjoyed every single minute of it and had some great conversations with people on the way. I would never look back and think I should have started in Porto or anywhere else. It was like two different Caminos. Lisbon to Porto was quiet...

We are just back from a 17 day Temples and Treasures of Vietnam and Cambodia with Emerald River Cruises. The cruise part was 8 days sailing on the Meekong River. Open albergues between Santander and Gijón in December?

I’m hoping to do the Camino del Norte end Feb and March, so I’m interested in response above. I guess I will be looking at small or larger hotels, with transport maybe needed to get us to accommodation. Is the Norte served by buses/trains ?
