I too have a neuroma in each foot. I bought oversized HOKA Bondi 8 shoes. They very wide and VERY cushioned. I've not walked a Camino (or Camino distance) in them but they are very comfy to walk around in.
My wife and I have a timing system. We walk for an hour, stop and have a decent drink . We walk another hour Stop, sit (remove shoes) and have a drink and a snack. We do this ALL day proper rest every 2 hours. We're both in our 60's and we can walk all day.
You misunderstood my question :) I have completed the Norte, VdlP and the Portugese.
I would like experience about the Mozarabe and Sureste routes. This 2 route are from the south east parts of Spain
So with our current status of not traveling here in Western Australia, We are planning our next Camino (later in 22 or early 23).
I'm torn between the Morzarabe and the Sureste.
We have done the Norte, VdPl and the Portuguese routes previously.
Does anyone have experience with the above 2...
I
I've not walked the "FrenchWay" and have no plans to do so, I prefer more solitude on my walks and accommodations. I have walked the Norte, SdP and Portuguese. We plan on walking another when bordered allow, perhaps the Mozarabe but it likely will not be the French route.
I have completed 3 Caminos none of which started in SJPdP :D :D I think is just become the "norm" for people travelling the "French" route to start in France. It makes sense to people. BTW I've done the Norte, VdP and Portuguese route i have no current intention of walking the "French Way"...
I'm a staunch atheist, and I have completed 3 Caminos. Del Norte, Via de Plate and Portuguese. I "carry on" because I derive great joy from the process. The stress free ability to do nothing by put one foot in front of the other. To meet new people, experience the different cultures along the...
Looking to do our 3rd Camino. Starting in June from Lisbon. How hot can we expect it to be?
Also, what's the average time length to complete it? (Based on albergue availability)
We drove the Ruta del Norte. And the Via de la Plata previously
Hi folks, my wife and I will be travelling the Via de Palta next year in September/October. We did Ruta de la Norte last year and loved it.
So next year is the Plata, our question is whats the best/easiest way to get to Seville from Perth Western Australia. I realise that there are no direct...
my wife and I are planing on walking the Norte route in September 2014, if we are there at the same time, we are more than happy to walk some of it together with anyone.
I leave Perth December 22 land in LA connect to Miami, Drive across the USA to LA, head to Mexico, then Central America, then to South America, then fly to Barcelona, to start my camino in September 2014. Back in Perth late October, November :)
I was looking at either a Kestral or a Dueter Aircontact, I went with the Dueter 50L it is front panel as well as top loading, has a brilliant and comfortable harness system, bladder for up to 3L supply, belt pocket for small items (camera snacks etc..) VERY well constructed, and built by one of...
