I have a feeling there will be a bit of the invisible hand of the market about Camino accommodation, which is to say that demand might flex according to perceived lack of supply… difficulties in reserving the portion of accommodation that is bookable, may result in people making other plans...
PS I am wary of extending cover with another company in case of legal wrinkles from having two insurers, obligation to start from UK etc- you just don't know what they could find to make difficult.
Just throwing my experience on this. UK resident, mid 50's, one pre-existing condition. I have an annual Admiral multi-trip which works for up to 30-ish days. For my upcoming 6 to 7 week trip they have sold me a one-off extension for £30. Do your own research as they say but the best place to...
I will take
+ light collapsible rubbery mug
+ plastic plate
+ tea diffuser
+ spork
+ maybe plastic chopsticks- they are useful for eating and also as a cooking utensil.

Temperature wise, I talk Celsius, so expect 10 to 15, cooler at nights...
Brilliant C thanks.
I’d consider this thread fulfilled now and happy for it to be closed. (In fairness I did try searches using “funds” and “Brexit” but could see nothing useful.)
Hi Peregrinos.
I just want to enquire if there are any guidelines for the financial means that UK peregrinos need to evidence when they enter Spain.
(I have seen a general guideline that Spanish Authorities require evidence of £85 per day, which seems excessive for the Camino!- and which...
Re: IMPORTANT: Advice for pilgrims setting off in March 2013
Navicerrano,
Many thanks for your advice here. I'll be arriving Biarritz on 15th March and am strongly inclining to start Pamplona. This could have the advantage of letting me see San Sebastián and it gives me a few days up my...
Hi folks- I'm Craig and I'll be starting out from SJPDP on Sat 16th March.
Been feeling a bit daunted the closer the date comes but reading these pages is reassuring- somewhat.
Looking forward to meeting up with fellow travellers along the way. It's a long old walk!!
