    CPAP on the Camino

A follow up report. I did take a transcend II CPAP with me, also a rechargeable 16 hour battery. Most nights I had access to power but some I did not. It added weight but allowed me great rest! Now would like to sell the transcend and the battery. Wondering how to do that. Anyone interested?

    Was Mick Right?........Was Mick Wrong?

I don't think the issue is right vs wrong. Kind vs unkind seems more appropriate. As one who toted my CPAP with me, I also lugged along a 3.5 rechargeable battery which I only had to use twice. I never jumped to the front of the line, but, when my turn came I would request a bunk near an...

Hat or No Hat? That is the question!

I am in Los Arcos and I DO NOT LIKE HATS! But, one makes a great difference here. It is HOT right now. I put my hat under the water at. Fountains...oh boy! It shades my eyes and keeps most of the PESKY flies out of my face. I LOVE my hat!

Oh I have one of these almost every day and I'm five months away from the first step! But, I think this is part of it and one of the reasons I am doing this - to get out of my comfort zone. But some days it is just so hard!

    CPAP on the Camino

Thanks Happy Mark. I will ask how it went once you return. I've spent some time today at REI seeing what they might recommend. So far, I am not getting very far. But, I understand that if I stay in a hostel as opposed to an albergue I will be able to have my own room with an guaranteed...

    CPAP on the Camino

Thanks to both of you for your responses. I did check the CPAP thread but did not find anyone who is familiar with the Transcend II. I'm 72 and am walking a lot these days. Good luck HappyMark. Once you get finished how about giving me a report about electric outlet availability?

    CPAP on the Camino

I'm planning to walk beginning in August this year. I use a CPAP machine at night and have discovered the Transcend II which weighs less than a pound. Also available are a solar charger and a chargeable battery. Has anyone had experience with this? Thanks for your help!
