    Hello from st Thomas Ont. Many opinions, but I feel that the best way is to fly into Porto Airport. Stay the night at the local albergue. The town van trasfer guy at the airport spoke english and knew where it was. He drove me straight there for 10 euro. Nice little albergue too. Next day go...

    Another option to consider, is to simply fly from CDG straight to Biarritz. Much simpler and faster. I found this flight on a randon day I selected and the price is no more than a taxi to Montparnasse.

    Yes it is 105 km's. I liked it because it was; a) - not too crowded, but enough company b) - Nice and green! c) - Interesting villages and albergues along the way. d) - Hilly region with nice views. Start off in Orense by going to the hot springs!
