    Spanish or English in France?

Sometimes speaking French is not enough! On my first Camino Frances, I met a man from France, being from Quebec I naturally started to speak to him in French, but our French is a bit different than European French. After a few seconds, he told me rather pompously sorry Monsieur I can't...

For those who have walked the Camino 2 or more times

The second time I walked the Camino Frances I was alone and I was not part of a Camino Family. I was able to walk at my own pace with no pressure. One thing I found funny when I walked the second time is that I remembered some places like I was only there the day before, but others I did not...

The enduring legacy of the movie ‘The Way’ (and a new book by Jen Hutchison)

I knew of the Camino before I saw the film and I thought someday I might try and walk it. I picked up the film at a Walmart Department Store late Summer of 2013 just because Martin Sheen was on the cover and did not know it was about the Camino Frances. I watched the film and it lit a fire...

Oui je suis de Sherbrooke, QC. Thinking of walking Camino Frances in summer 2021... in need of advice

I walked my first Camino when I was 59 years old and I want to do a fourth one when Covid-19 is over or controlled. If I had known about the Camino Frances when I was in my 20's, I am sure my life would be completly different now. The Camino is a great place to find yourself.

I was aware of the Camino before seeing the Way, but right after seeing the movie I started planning my own Camino and by next spring I was walking on the Camino Frances. The Sheen's movie was the push I needed. Last spring I did my third Camino and I am sure I will do many more in the future...
