I see from a recent post that some Albergue on the primitivo are closing around now. We plan to walk the Primitivo and the Verde next year in late september to mid October. Is there a list of closing dates on the forum or does Gronze have that data?
Here in OZ when bushwalking in remote areas with no mobile coverage, it is prudent to carry a Personal Locator Beacon. Others subscribe to the SPOT system. Both provide access to emergency services in the event of injury or "locational disturbance ". Would it also be prudent to carry something...
Thanks to all and Buen Camino - I read of all the sucesses for TKN's, so I'm in mind of what's in my future. After fracturing my Pelvis badly in September, I am now informed that as it is not fully healed (at 31 weeks!), I have Traumatic Arthritis and I will need a full hip replacement later in...
Us two old codgers are thinking of starting our Camino Primitivo in May or September next year, depending on the state of our individual health. (One fractured pelvis/new hip, one fractured skull) Could you nice people please comment on the best time to walk, health excepted, in the light of ...

We are starting our Camino on 24 September in Avila, leaving Sydney on Sunday 15 September. Seeking an update on the route. I have peregrina2000's excellent reports from June, and wondered if there were any more recent updates.
