    First Camino Advice Please

    Starting in Fatima you have close to 500 Km, if you want to do that in 10 days it is 50Km a day. I would not recommend that even if you are a fast walker. If you start in Porto you have around 240 km, 24 km a day is doable. Think about it.

    The accidents occurred in casual walks, just on normal daily activities. Like going for coffee or going to the supermarket. And we do use poles in hikes and more formal walks, we have been using them for years and we would not dream of attempting the camino without them.
