What are the essential items to have in a first aid kit for the Camino Frances? I begin in St. Jean on August 26th. I am trying to "Go Light" and I understand I will find pharmacies on the way, but I don't want to be caught without something that I may need.
Thanks.
I am going to walk the Camino Frances beginning August 26th. I will have about 70 days to complete the hike to Santiago de Compostela then Finisterre and Muxia, so I don't have to do long days every day. I have been walking about 3 times a week (4-6) miles and sometimes one of those walks...
I know that there is water along the route, but I don't know how frequently.
I will be starting in St. Jean on August 25th.
How frequently will I find water? How much water should I be carrying in my pack when I begin each day.
Thank you
I have been struggling to find the best boots to wear. I have a bone spur near my big toes and sometimes the boots I try hit that spur when I am hiking. Esatto custom made boots have been recommended, but they are heavy (3.2 lbs). Is it a mistake to wear the heavier leather boots?
