Took me ten hours and seven minutes. Cold, wet, raid, snow and fog on 3 May. No view. Lots of mud. Horrible first day, but I'm still glad I did it. I climbed a mountain! And the next two mountains were easier.
Based on info I got from this forum, I opened a Schwab account for my May June camino, and it worked perfectly. Great choice for me. One thing though, for others considering the Schwab account, it took three weeks to set up. I'm ready to start loading the Schwab for a 2015 Camino. Paso a paso.
I will use my fit it to track my miles and upload the distance on the fit it app on my phone. I like mammy hike, but it takes too much battery power. I am OCD with the stats of my walking habits here in Miami, so I can imagine it will only be more interesting on the camino.
Water. Hi everybody. I can't figure out how to start a new thread and couldn't find one for water. I have an Osprey Kestrel that has a water bladder compartment, but it doesn't seem that the bladder would be necessary as from SJPP to Santiago has so many towns to pass through, each with water...
I'm flying Miami> Heathrow > Madrid and have an osprey kestrel, so I could potentially use my pack as carryon, but I'm concerned about the Swiss Army knife and the walking poles. Is there a possibility of sending these objects in advance to SJPP? If so where? To the passport office? Any ideas?
