Please check out the Spanish government app, AlertCops. It’s free and in my opinion better to use than the 112 telephone number. The 112 number was also excellent advice too.
Distressing news. Hope all goes well as you decide on whether to continue Camino. A few years ago Ivar had a posting regarding AlertCops, the Spanish government app. I found it at www.alertcops.com/, and carry it on my iPhone as a guy in my later 60's. Just one more tool in the kit.

I was fortunate to spend time as a hospitalero in El Burgo Ranero a few years ago. The municipal albergue Domenico Laffe is a well run. clean place. Bedbugs can happen anywhere, but this particular albergue was well maintained. If by chance you do have an encounter bedbugs (chinches) anywhere...
I'm in Pamplona now and will take a few days of rest along side others who met on the way. We're finding it best to email ahead for a place to stay. All in all the Camino seems to provide. Why rush and ruin the experience.
