Ebro route question re Sant Carles de la Rapita & day 1
Yes, we walked directly from Deltebre to Amposta along the river. Nice footpath. We did because that was a better way to get good distances the first days. I always try to plan for short distances the first days of a camino. Goog luck with your planning!- bjorgts

A little more information. We arrived by plane to Barcelona and took the train to Figueres. (NB! There are two train lines on either side of the city! We asked at Restaurant Hostal Grau, but they did not have rooms, but they said we could try Casa Rural Cal Sabata. So we did, and we had a very nice stay there. ... and a good Menu at Restaurant Grau. :)- bjorgts

Here comes my photo video from Camino del Ebro this April / May. We started at the mouth of the river and followed it to Gallur (north of Zaragoza), where we left this route and continued on the Camino Castellano-Aragonés to Tarazona. Jumping to the Ebro- Rain Go AWAY!
Two weeks behind! Started Camino del Ebro outside Riumar yesterday. May be we will have some problems finding places to sleep. "Groups only" and "cerrado". Too high costs for the heating, may be. Or just too early for the season.- bjorgts
