Alright! A bit delayed but I'm here to report back for anyone else thinking of doing this route! Over all it was a lovely little hike and very different from the Frances! I got lost A LOT. Parts of the trails were very well marked. Other parts...not so much. I recommend getting a map if you...

    Where to start

Thanks so much! Can I ask how long your days were? And did you have to book accomodation in advance? Would be great to stay in Ullastrel if there's a new Albergue there, but most of what I found said stops were Sant Cugat- Terrasa-Montserrat. I'm thinking of heading to Monresa as day 3!

Thanks for responses everyone!! I think I will carry 1.5 L of water and fill up as often as possible. So I will not plan on cooking every night hehe. Might carry a bag of rice for when there is a kitchen and can add in beans and veggies. Thanks so much!

    Getting from Bayonne to SJPP

Thanks very much! Do you know if there is a reduced service on Fridays? I'm only finding two departure times but many more on other days. But I guess it is ok to spend the afternoon/evening in Bayonne as long as I am still able to visit the pilgrim office to get credentials before starting out.

Hi there, I am going to be traveling from Paris via Rideshare on May 1 and will arrive around 1pm. I'm hoping to get to SJPP later that day so I can start my Camino the next morning! Where can I find information about a train or bus to st jean? Or is hitchhiking possible/safe (I am a girl...

Sleeping Bag vs Sleeping Bag Liner in May

THanks for the list! Do you think a one season sleeping bag would do? I've found a few good deals on Amazon but most of them are for 5+, so don't know how helpful it would be!

Sleeping Bag vs Sleeping Bag Liner in May

Reasonably warm? I don't need to be HOT, but if I'm shivering I probably won't sleep very well.

Sleeping Bag vs Sleeping Bag Liner in May

Good morning everyone! I am going to be hiking the Camino in May and was wondering if you think it will be cold enough to bring a sleeping bag, or if a sleeping bag liner will be enough. On the flip side, if it is cold enough for a sleeping bag should I also bring a liner to keep out bed bugs...

last (ish) minute decision to do a first camino- a few questions!

Ha! Yes I'll definitely be doing the cussing on the way down the hill ;). One more questions, do you think all the albeurges will be open by this time? Or is it still a bit in the off season? I am self employed so it's not so much about getting time off but not losing a new client/ my...

last (ish) minute decision to do a first camino- a few questions!

Thanks for the responses everyone! A few updates: I booked in the big seat sale from London to Paris so I guess I am finding my way from Paris My ankles are pretty strong and my shoes are mesh which means will dry quickly so I'm leaning towards just taking the trainers but not 100% sure yet...

last (ish) minute decision to do a first camino- a few questions!

Hi all, I've been thinking about doing the camino for a while now. I'm really interested in walking but not very confident on mountains or anything like that. I also like the idea of doing a pilgrimage, so the camino seems like an awesome first long walk to do! I have been hemming and hawing...

Hi Everyone, I'm planning to do my first camino this November! From about November 9- Dec 9. I've heard doing the Camino at this time can still be good, despite getting cold and wet at times, but my question is specifically about the Pyrenees. Is it possible to cross this late in the year? How...
