Hi everybody - what a lot of great suggestions! I love this forum. After checking out all the preferences I have found that Royal Robbins clothing really seemed like the way to go "for me". I loved the Discovery Skirt (pockets and a zipper) and the Jammer Capris - they have a lot of features...
Hi all - I walked the Portuguese Camino on my own in May last year, altho I did not stay on my own for very long because of the many wonderful people I met along the way. Here is my day to day accounting. I did all my blogging and photography on my outdated but very functional iPhone 4. This...
While I've been learning Spanish this last year, I don't feel confident in my abilities yet to have a Spanish guidebook. Thank you for your other suggestions - we will look into them.
Making our way back to Paris after the The Northe we are looking for lodging for 1 night that is not in the hustle and bustle of Paris and that is also a quick transit ride in the morning to the CDG airport. We need to be at the airport at 08:00h.
Any suggestions would be appreciated!
Thanks
We are planning on finishing our summer (July) trek along part of The Norte in Gijon. We are currently looking up transportation options to get back to Irun from Gijon (e.g. train, bus, car rental...).
Has anyone made that journey?
If so, which mode of transportation would you recommend?
How...
We are travelling from Canada this summer (July) and will be taking the TVG train from Paris to Irun where we will be walk part of the Del Norte as far as Gijon. We already have the Cicerone book "The Northern Caminos", but are now wondering if there are other guides out there that are superior...
We will fly out June 30 and depending on flights should be walking by July 2nd. I am considering the EPW for 2017, heard of that one Maggie? I'll be sorry to miss you again, but wish you another buen camino :o)
Thank you for your reply. It is helpful to see the many ways of getting to the beginning. I walked the Portuguese Camino this May/June and then spent a week in Paris, so I have no need to "see" Paris this time, been there, done it.
Hi Pilgrims that are and will be - My daughter-in-law and I will walking part of the Del Norte this summer. I'm wondering what is the best travel option to get to the start from Vancouver, Canada to Irun. So far I've heard travel to Paris and take the fast train to Irun (seems out of the way)...
Finished my Portuguese Camino early June 2015. I was a solo 58 year old woman from Canada, equipped with an iphone 4 that did everything for me but lace my boots. See my blog below...

Thanks Kat! I agree the helpline number is a must and I have included it in my phone numbers. Hopefully I won't need to call it too many times. I hope you had a wonderful Camino. Time for another?
Thank you Laurie! I have made a note of it and feel a lot better about getting into Lisbon and getting my credential. What's a pilgrim without a passport after all. I will be trying your Lisbon walk on the 9th and am really looking forward to it.
