Yes, he is always dressed as a pilgrim, with the scallop shell, but there is no record of him going to Santiago. It shows how the scallop shell came to symbolize all pilgrims and not just those going to Santiago.
I made a list in 2016. I will review these posts and see if there are any I should add.

We walked Porto to Santiago last April and loved it. We found it scenic. I'm never sure why people have problems with cobblestones. It is not supposed to be trail hike, its a pilgrimage.
Several pairs and wearing two at a time usually worked for me. And our camino was very rainy and wet. https://stjamestostjames.wordpress.com/2016/05/20/about-socks/

Matosinhos to Vila do Conde
Vila do Conde to Sao Pedro de Rates
Sao Pedro de Rates to Lugar de Navió (Casas do Rio)
Lugar de Navió (Casas do Rio) to Ponte de...
Since the questions are getting personal, I have one I've been hesitating to ask until now. I've been trying out a pair of ExOfficio and every time I wear them I get pimples. This does not happen when I wear cotton underwear -- which I will NOT wear on the Camino. Should I be looking for...
We live about equal distances from Winnipeg and Minneapolis. On a fluke, I decided to look at prices from Winnipeg. They are currently half the price of tickets from Minneapolis. This applied whether I was looking at Madrid, Lisbon, Porto, etc. We ended up purchasing tickets from Winnipeg to...
Thanks, I knew about the 12th/13th events at Fatima. Until now though, I was not thinking about pilgrims going toward Fatima from the north. Would they make finding sleeping accommodations difficult?
