i went through avila last year whilst hiking from alicante.that was late autumn and the weather was fine.
i am starting the mozarabe camino at the end of this month.having walked the via de plata,i am taking the trujllo variant and rejoining the plata before salamanca.then onto the sanabres to santiago.

i have found a lightweight 2 season sleeping bag and a silk liner covers all bases.
warm--silk liner
cold---sleeping bag
ice cube weather.--bag and liner.
some people are getting their 10,000 steps in during the night,witheir 3-4bathroom trips.
i often wondered how my friend was always ahead of me in the steps count.now i know.
