The post I'm referring to had a long list of accommodations, meal locations, etc ...and a simple big green tick on the posters personal recommendations.... quick & easy really after long day walking.
Sure, if you want to be ambiguous, use all sorts of bizarre emojis like you have....BUT is that...
Don't understand why Moderators are removing Emojis from Member posts?
Noticed this recently when a post on a vdlp thread I was watching had all emojis removed???
They were a lot of very helpful ✅️✅️'s to show recommended rooms, eating places, etc on the vdlp....
Surely emojis are now part of...
😂 yes a great read that Book.... from 2006!. Read it years ago & planned the Vdlp but eventually did Camino Torres.
Now reading it again prior to leaving Sevilla on 1st March.
Tony joined the Vdlp in Merida.
...thanks Gerald & all you others for good dog/ perro advice.
I'm starting March 1st from Sevilla & have your notes to help me! Then I will join the Camino Teresiano in Avila & Camino Torres from Salamanca , spend some days on the Duoro & rejoin the Via around Verin or somewhere then onto...

Unless there is a specific reason for joining the vdlp @ Merida, you could take the 4-5 day Camino Teresiano from Avila through to Alba de Tormes, then one day on the walking trail into Salamanca to rejoin vdlp 😎
Likewise for me! Great report thanks Rodney!
This will help with my 2024 planning.
2020 - Had planned Camino Teresiano+ some Torres 🧑🦯.... but severe covid restrictions were applied, ...now plan to return to Europe ...VDLP March 2024.
....detour to Avila (to do Camino Teresiano)...onto...
The old stone trail up the hill climbing into Trancoso is a killer at the end of a long stage!
I never had the energy to explore either but accommodation at Dom Dinis was excellent & they pointed me in the direction of a soul boosting restaurant! 😎
Hi Mick & Carol
I walked the Torres back in 2016, so my info would be a bit out of date! Quite a few have posted more recent material.
But please post some updates to brighten up my Sth Aussie winter 😎
Catch-up with Luis Quintales (responsible for recreating the history of this Camino) in...
