Ditch the sleeping bag. Take a liner only
I've walked Frances, Portugese and Sanabres in autumn and going on winter and never needed (or carried) a sleeping bag. Most Albergues have blankets or are heated, and day clothes double as night clothes, especially if it is a little bit chilly.

Last November I just did the long walk from Cea to A Laxe where the municipal albergue was excellent and at that time No mosquito plague (See Gerald Kelly's comment later in this thread). Just the facilities needed as we had had lots of wet weather that day.
Local Resto on the camino served a...
The albergue was open in November but, honestly, nothing to write home about. I think we all ate at Nunez and although it comes at a cost you may want to consider spalshing out. The next day we walked on through Laza and on to Albergueria to an excellent albergue run by the owner of the bar...
Cannot sing the praises of Reina Lupa loud enough. Stayed there last November.
They own the adjoining bar too What an albergue. Cotton sheets. Blankets. Showers were perfecto. Food excellent.
Just 10k from SDC.
I am a recent convert to merino for both base and mierd layers and not only are they relativley odour free but just as importantly as wool they stay warm when wet.
Brands: Isobaa;Fjern;Mountain Warehouse.
Only ever bought at sale prices.
No scratching or grinding issues.
I enjoyed a really excellent 7 days on the Sanabres in late November 23 after my 'phone expired (Don't ask how or why) and Guide Books, Maps, and fellow Pilgrims were all I needed boosted by the low numbers on the Sanabres which meant NO rush for a bed.
800 km on the Frances and 450km on the Portuguese filled up at every fountain etc as well as in every overnight albergue and NEVER a problem. I don't believe this is luck.
I have given a 👍to all the posts that favour Pamplona to Logrono based on my own experience on the Frances.
It seems clear to me that the enquirer is not a Compostela seeker and I have no criticism of that.
I post this with a smile because my Compostela records the distance from SJPDP to SDC as 799km.... what's a kilometre or two when amongst new friends. Buen Camino.
I took the metro having been advised that the first stint was uninspiring. Others in our party walked out and all said it was 'uninspiring'.
We all stayed on the Coastal and enjoyed every step of it.
