    Capacity of Credencial

Yes you can, it is choice, I chop and change, prefering to go with adventure generally, but I have an idea there is a slightly different Compostella for the relegious choosers.

Agreed guys, just saying, not trying to be a maverick.

    Capacity of Credencial

Meaning no disrespect to the rules of the game, I have never bothered with the 2 stamps per day in the last 100kms either. So my stamps have fitted. I have always walked full 3-5 week caminos (excepting the English a couple of times) so I really think it obvious that I am unlikely to have...

    Rain...rain pants?

I use these, a bit heavy as secondary but great in the warm and last 5km afternoons so your feet don't sweat all day in shoes...

    Rain...rain pants?

I walk early or late in the season so if particularly cold then there are good to wear for that too, a light pair weigh nothing

Pilgrims Office, SJPP - Hiking Poles

I went back to find one I left next day a few years back and they had a cupboard full, worth asking before buying. Offer a donation as they are a charity! Worth a try.

Roman ruins at foot of Pyrenees?

No the Canfranc hostel was closed or something. We walked through as nothing was open. But the conversation seems familiar.... 11 and 12 of October I think we were in Canfranc de Estacion in the hostel down the hill a bit on the river.

Roman ruins at foot of Pyrenees?

Yup. We only did the week as we were passing, was great. Was fine, a couple of the group I met went onward to SdC and had a ball. I was just expressing the suddenness of 8 in a hostel compared to 95!! All is good. Invierno next! Buen Camino

Roman ruins at foot of Pyrenees?

I walked the Camino Aragones from Le Somport to Puente La Reina in October, was lovely, very quiet, met a nice group, 6 days, recommended. Was a people shock hitting the Camino Frances though I have done that several times, makes you think!!

New list of bonus items to pack?

I always take a metal (unbreakable and weighs little) hanger so if the washing lines are full my shirt and shorts can hang and dry on the end of the bed, door handle or wherever.

    Hiking Sandals only?

Why do you need Crocs in the shower? Hiking sandals are great to change into after the long part of the day to allow the feet to dry out and relax the last 5-10kms of the day, with or without socks and they are fine in the evening, no crocs req.

How do you use such a small pack?!?

Just a thought that I like to have an hour of music music some days and some non-talk alone time even when walking with friends, old or new. Chargeable earbuds use more power than the plug-in versions I think, needing bluetooth. And more easily lost! Maybe I am overthinking it seeing them on...

How do you use such a small pack?!?

I carried a book one Camino out of over half a dozen and read 3 or 4 pages, if you are sociable I don't think you will need it. Each to their own!

    Easter on the Camino

I have had a couple of Easters on the walk, the Spanish people take get out on the tracke for a week or so all along, which is great for a more local interaction but accommodation does get a little more well used so worth getting in earlier or holding a bed ahead.

Where to stay in St. Jean Pied de Port?

Like the rest of your Camino, just walk in and look around unless on the last train. plenty options.

Cathedral Rooftop Tour Confusion: Which One Should You Choose?

Completely concur. Go to the office/door to the left of the cathedral entrance looking at the front from the square. If you go to the other side they look at you like you are crazy and said you must be asking for a private tour, really wierd, I was there with some yankee mates a couple of...
