    Caminho from Lisbon April 2022?

Thanks for this as I am considering a start at Fatima next fall. Five years ago I had an unofficial start at Lourdes, so this makes sense for my second Camino.

    Men's Underwear & Anatomy

I used running shorts instead of underwear. No chafing problems, and also I felt comfortable in them walking around the albergue after my shower.

What did you bring on the Camino that you wound up not using?

Fitted sheet is a good idea. I kept one of the 1st disposable sets and used them until I got a new set of disposables.

What did you bring on the Camino that you wound up not using?

I would leave out the clothesline. I walked in October and would bring a 2nd long sleeve Tshirt instead of a 3rd short sleeve. Bought a pocket knife in France and used it quite often. Just remember you can always buy anything you forgot but really need.

How do I get to Somport to start Camino Aragones?

I started in Oloron in Sept of last year, using the Confraternity of St James Guide "Arles to Puente de la Reina, Part 2 Toulouse to Puente de la Reina". Fairly good info but no maps.

    Advice for Santiago to Finisterre/Muxia

I did Santiago-Finnesterre-Muxia last, ending up in Muxia on October 31. Nice walk, great weather and personally I liked Muxia better. Two buses daily from Muxia to Santiago, early morning and early afternoon. Stayed at the municipals except in Muxia where I stayed at the Delfin, which was a...

Arres, one of, if not the, best vistas between Col Somport and Muxia.

    Albergues in Ages

Stayed at the municipal there last October. I'm pretty sure they had the disposable linens. It's upstairs over a bar and had a great time conversing with the locals. Make sure you walk up and see the church.

    Pau to Obanos in October

I did this route in late September last year. No problem with gites/albergues being open, and did not need to call ahead. If I remember correctly, the monastery in Sarrance opened at 3 pm and the gite in Urdos opened at 4 pm.

    Backpack recommendations

The Talon I used also had easy access to 500ml water bottles. I saw many people fumbling around a bit for bottles.

    Booking albergues or not

I remember the surprised look on one person's face at the municipal in Estella when she was informed that no, she did not have a reservation because the albergue did not take reservations. Apparently she had used a pack service and assumed that if her pack were delivered there then she had a...

    Camino Aragones

I came through Jaca in late September and had planned on going to San Juan de la Pena but was told at the tourist info office that a fire in August had destroyed all the signage. There is a mini bus that takes workers and other passengers there but it is not a year round service and I'm not...

    Albergues advice Leon onwards

I came through León 2 days ago and was told that Saturday was the last day the albuergue in Bergen del Camino was to be open. I took the alternative route out of Virgen del Camino and stayed at a very nice albergue in Villavante, which was 31.6k from the León and about 4k from Hospital.

Walking in Beauty: the Camino Aragones

Yes, I went from Sanguesa to Isco. The next logical stop would be Tiebas (22K). I was walking with someone that day and we made it to Puente de la Reina(41k). But that was an extraordinary day for me.

Walking in Beauty: the Camino Aragones

The only albergue I know for sure to be closed is the one in Monreal. There were always at least 5 people at night in the albiergues
