Fire Break
Recently completed the Portugues for my first Camino. While walking the interior route somewhere in northern Portugal, I came onto an area where a fairly recent forest fire coming from the west, had burned right down to the trail....where it stopped. Arrow wars approaching Porrino
The arrow wars continue approaching Porrino where marks to the new path were painted over. Even the police directed people through the old industrial area. I bailed to the forest path to the left as you should, but many did not, choosing to believe the police.- Ricav

Wet feet
Preparing for my first Camino (Portugues) in one month. I'm well set on shoes with Vasque trail runners, not waterproof, and a two sock system that works for me. My only concern is wet feet which we all know puts us at risk for blisters. Footwear is always a compromise. How have others of you...- Ricav
