    Bicigrino

Bicigrino.com will deliver bike to your first night's accommodation & you can drop off in Santiago. They are also affiliated to repair shops en route, free repairs for your run of the mill breakdowns. I used them for Specialised MTB's on Frances & La Plata - bikes in very good condition. M.

    Biking the Portuguese

Thank you Steve, I'm definitely going to have to do more research regarding Road v's Trail though, if you say a Road bike can make most sections it doesn't sound like my kind of trip, I want to follow the beaten track.

    Biking the Portuguese

Hi CcRider, this disappoints me - 90% Road? When you say Road - u mean tarmac? Or do you class the wide gravel trails I've cylced in Spain thru farmland as Roads?

    Biking the Portuguese

Also, could those of you who have done Frances, La Plata or Norte compare it to Portuguese? Same as? Harder? Easier - but......Weather? Wind? I believe it's definitely flatter?

    Biking the Portuguese

All - at a guess what percentage is Trail v's Road? We'll have MTB hardtails so won't really matter that much, but prefer the beaten track as long as we are not overcrowding it.

    Biking the Portuguese

Hi all, I'm looking into biking the Portuguese Way first week of May. We have previously completed Via Algarvinia, Caminos Frances & La Plata by bike, plus walked the Finisterre so we have some experience on The Way. Just starting research & you guys were such a great help on previous trips, I...

    Camino with children: May 2022

Hi JS6747, I envy you, my wife & I walked Santiago to Finisterre in 2016 with our then 12 & 9 year old girls. It was without doubt amongst the most memorable times we have ever spent together. We made sure to book either private albergues (with private rooms) or hotels, we didn't really...

    Bicigrino

Hi, Bicigrino. com! I would not go past them. Top of the range specialised mtb. Used them twice, on Frances & on Via de la plata. Deliver & collect bikes & luggage, affliated bike shops on route for repair. Best of luck & enjoy. M.

OBSOLETE COVID THREAD Flights to France from the UK

Hopefully all Quarantines will be a thing of the past by August, but as far as I am aware if you just transition thru UK to France then the UK rule does not apply - your home country is then applicable. Trouble is your overnight stay.

Mozarabe (from Malaga) by bike in June questions

Check out bicigrino.com, they will deliver to your departure hotel & pick up from your final destination. I used them twice (CF & VDLP) with no issues, good almost new bikes with panniers, etc. We hired Specialized MTBs.

Anyone in or passing through Ireland, this Greenway could be of interest.

FYI......."Waterways Ireland" is a very good source for each of the Canals mentioned, they are each broken down into short stages.

Sorry Kirkie - that was supposed to be a reply to Catheriam's post. M.

Anyone in or passing through Ireland, this Greenway could be of interest.

Hi Catheriam, If Rosslare is on your itinerary consider walking from Dublin! At least partway - you can walk the Grand Canal to Robertstown then take a "left" off the Grand & along the intersecting Barrow Line. The Barrow line is the River Barrow + the added section of canal which was added to...

    Happy Paddies Day.

This was a first for the Metal Man I believe, similar to the Rock of Cashel I believe many County Councils have jumped on the Irish Tourism Boards Global Greening Campaign for St Patrick's Day. Much like the many famous World Landmarks that light up in Green on March 17th, local landmarks are...

    Happy Paddies Day.

May the trail rise to meet you, May the wind be always on your backs, May the sun shine warm upon your face and the rain fall softly on your fields and until we meet again may God hold you in the hollow if his hand...... Buen Camino my friends. On the17th of March everyone is a little bit...
