Dear John. I am deeply grateful for your commitment to sharing the depth of your knowledge about the Camino Frances. Your spirit has so emphatically infused your guidebooks, and I have valued your reflective inspirations in my journeying. Thank you
We usually live very independent separate lives, so being so together was intense & in the early stages we did have a lot of full on arguments as we navigated what worked for us.
Some things that helped - when I wanted to stretch out, me walking ahead very fast for about 40 steps then walking...
I have walked long sections of the Camino Frances with my beloved husband. Our first ten days of walking together were particularly challenging as we adjusted to our different styles. We persisted through this and the experiences we shared have become one of the most precious experiences of our...

The only bar in the small village of Zariquiegui - where the community gathered each evening to sing, dance, laugh & spend time together. All were welcome ...... (2015)
You could plan to do a small section, to see how you find it, at a time that seems right. An app like WisePilgrim & it’s associated book could be useful

Welcomed with open arms, cared for with grace, blessed by sacred music, and nurtured by sharing. Here the upwelling of grief within brought gentle healing tears and filled my heart with love ... such a special place
A rest day to let sore legs, ankles and feet recover. A blessed Sabbath opportunity to slow down to the pace and quiet of village life in Espinal. Beautifully cared for and fed by the mother and daughter of our Casa Rural - 5 Sept 2015
