Looking for property on camino de Santiago

TROVIT is absolute rubbish, put the town, region and there are thousands and thousands of houses, but not one way to narrow it down to places on the camino. Even if you search for camino santiago there are hundreds and most are usually miles away.

Looking for property on camino de Santiago

Thanks for the comment Jeff. We have ran a gite and been a hospitalero for a very long time in France, so are use to the work and the commitment needed to do the job. We have only been in Spain for 2 years and miss the job so much that we need to get back to doing it. There is something great...

Looking for property on camino de Santiago

We are looking for a property on the camino de santiago. Any suggestions or ideas. A lot of the sites on google say they are on it, but are actually 10km away. We may be opening an Albergue but we may just open our house to pilgrims to stop for a cup of tea. So we will consider anything in any...

Le Puy route versus Camino Frances

I was a single male traveller and thought I would share my experience of the two routes. Accommodation I was a bit concerned with accommodation and this does seem to be a topic of interest. Accommodation Portuguese Interior

wow, can you do one of these for the whole route. :-) I did worry about accommodation stops. I have the Briery book but it seems to say there are distances of 30km or more with no accommodation option, especially from Lisbon is this true? is there really no places to stay.

Camino del Norte or Camino Portugues?

This is my dilema and I hope there are some other people who have done both that can suggest pros and cons. It seems a lot of people are suggesting that the Norte is a little more scenic than the CP. I have posted on both the CP and the CN to see which is the better signed and it appears both...

Is the North route well signed

I am planning the portuguese route in the next few weeks, but am still a little undecided as it seems there is a lot of road walking and industrial estates. I walked the french way and was impressed by the signs and found this was a huge plus for me, I could enjoy the walk without the stress...

Is the camino portuegese well signed

Thanks for the info. I am hoping to do the central route and it seems from what people are saying that from Lisbon the signs seem to have been updated over the last year or so. I am hoping it is as easy as some say and just follow the arrows. I have to say the French way is a map free walk, so...

After completing the french way. I was amazed at the signage. I did not need a map, guide or book once. Just follow the yellow arrows. Overall this made for a really enjoyable and stress free camino. I would like to start the camino Portuegese in the next few weeks from Lisbon. Is this as well...
