i just did 2 weeks on the Camino but had to stop because of Achilles tendinitis. I went alone and wanted to talk a little about safety on the Camino for women traveling alone. There were three incidents that I heard about while I was there and my apologies if this had been mentioned already...
Hi Janice, thank you for your reply. Today is my 5th day on the Camino and I'm reflecting on everything hat I brought and I think it's pretty good so far. Rain pants have been handy for the reason you mention, the poncho has ripped already, I need a better quality one but it's great for ground...
I neglected to mention that I'm bringing a North Face shell with me which will be for warmth and light rain and I'll use the poncho if its pouring rain or really cold. I tend to overheat easily when I'm hiking but I have the layers just in case. I may find that I don't have enough clothes...

I have an appointment with the physio on Tuesday and I'm hoping for the best! Thanks for your encouragement, it's great to hear from people that have been there and yet persisted. I hope I have your courage. Buen Camino
The silk liner is so light that I thought it would be nice to have to keep the bed bugs away. The face cloth would be for my body, am I being optimistic here?

Hello everyone, thank you for this opportunity to share what I am taking with me and for your feedback. Here is the list:
Back Packer sleeping bag
Silk liner
Personal Pack Towel (for my hair)
Face cloth (for my body)
4 pairs of socks - 2 double layer ankle socks, 1 toe socks, 1 compression...
I am flying to Barcelona on April 13th and was going to Logrono to start my Camino but 2 days ago I got a nagging pain in my right calf - the same one that bothered me when I trained for a 10 Km run a number of years ago. My plan is to see the physiotherapist and rest it until my flight. I...
A friend of mine did the camino last year and she used Tea Tree oil instead and she's not sure if she was just lucky or if it did the trick. I'm sensitive to toxins so it's nice to know that there are some other options. Here's an article from the Huffington Post with more holistic ideas that I...
Hello,
I will be starting in Logrono on April 16th so we will probably miss each other but have a buen camino!
PS I will be flying in to Barcelona, where can I get information on catching a train to Logrono or nearby?
Thanks!
