I will be in Ribadiso beginning next week and then may have a better sense of how things are. My guess is that the albergueras at the Xuntas would have an idea how crowded the next ones are. Buen camino to you and your family.
I also have used Express Borricot twice. Very easy and no need to worry about how long it is in storage in Santiago. To me it has definitely worth the €.
Not only did I pair with my walking partner but we tied the two left boots together and the two right boots together and placed them far apart from each other.
Went to Lourdes prior to starting my 2016 Camino. Participating in the evening procession helps one put the commercialism in place. It is amazing that people from all over the world travel there. I reccomend going.
Welch bought the box in the post office (in the front part), packed it and filled out the customs declaration right there. The box was delivered to our house with no problems here in the U.S. It was actually one of the easiest postal experiences.
Last October, because we were going to be traveling for another three weeks, we shipped backpack, boots, poles, and all of our Santiago souvenirs from the correos just down from the cathedral. It was here when we arrived home.
Two of us will be arriving in SJPdP on September 1st. We will not start walking until the third as two more will arrive on the second. We have reserved at Orisson for the night of the third. Three of the four of us are in our 60s. Hopefully we will meet up with both of you as we journey.
