Poles on the coastal rte?
we're in our mid 70's and have made nightly hotel reservations from Portoto Fisterra/ Finesterre and will have our packs transported for us. We start from Porto tomorrow to Vila do Conde along the coast.... Should we bring our collapsible poles for the day ?- jon gregg

Cobbles, narrow roads, % of Hard Surface Roads
We're walking the Portugese Costal Camino and to Finesterre during September. We were planning on wearing good hiking shoes, but a Forum member said there were a lot of rough uneven cobblestones ( enough so she wouldn't walk the CP again ) and narrow roads with no shoulders and scary drivers...- jon gregg

Hiking boots necessary?
Footwear on the Camino da Costa and Senda Littoral? We're walking the CdC in September with packs that will be 15lbs or less ( depending on the answer to this question) : Are high caliber hiking shoes sufficient on the Coastal route or would those of you have done it recommend boots ?
