LIVE from the Camino Can I use the back of the credential for stamps?

I'm happy with my decision to put the stamps on the back of the credential, some of the most special ones are there actually, including two wax stamps. I'm fine with turning the credential around to see the rest of the stamps and it's been fun because some family are really enjoying seeing the...

    Two additions to my pack

Buen Camino Laurie, I hope that you have no need for either item but how great to have them. I had a whistle but I hadn't thought of bringing my tick remover. Thanks for the tips :)

Staying in a beautiful wee place, Santa Irene, outside Pedrouso. The weather has not been as wet as the forecast would have us believe, hopefully tomorrow will be the same. See you soon.

    In SdC around May 19th

Hi all, I thought I'd ask if there's any plan for an informal forum meetup as I'm going to be in Santiago on May 19th, 20th and poss 21st. I know that meetups happen from time to time and thought that it was worth checking before I get there :)

    Recognize this pilgrim?

:) My hat blew off as I approached this guy some time in the last ten days on a misty and windy morning, I was lucky to pin it down with my walking pole

LIVE from the Camino Can I use the back of the credential for stamps?

Hi there, sorry mods if this is in the wrong place... I'm currently in O'Cebreiro having started in Burgos nearly a month ago and I'm soon going to run out of space for cellos on my credential. I'm using the credential from this forum with the lovely maps of the back of it and my question is...

Overnight in La Faba but also go to Pilgrim's Mass in O Cebreiro

I'm glad that you asked because otherwise I might have missed the mass and it sounds like a good experience. I'll be there tonight now thanks to your question.

Live Albergue Boadilla del Camino y Hostal en Fromista

I'm glad that found some lovely places to stay, I also enjoyed the community meal at the Albergue En El Camino last week even though I was booked into their hotel next door for a treat. When I arrived Eduardo filled a large bowl with fresh coffee and hot milk, it was so good that I had two, then...

And, most importantly, the plastic bag in which to carry your used tissues to the next available rubbish (trash) bin. ;)

    Crocs

It's a bit nippy for that isn't it? Pretty sure I'd have noticed men walking in thongs, saw a few wearing flip flops though ;)

    What A-R-E You Eating???

Thanks for sharing, I enjoyed that. We once stayed on a farm in North Eastern Portugal whilst working locally for a few weeks and it was an area where the pigs ate chestnuts from the land along the village river banks. That ham was delicious too.

    Burgos, April 2019

Hi Nicky, unfortunately I have a double bed booked, I knew that it would be my last chance for privacy for the next while. Would love to meet up in the morning if possible as I thought that I'd do the Evolution museum in arrival on the 12th and leave the cathedral for the walk out on the...

    Avoiding the breakfast trap?

Believe it or not I'm allergic to the humble spud, I know that it's very unpatriotic of me as an Irish person ;) I also try to avoid wheat (because I feel better without it) however I'm open to eating whatever is in front of me most days and be grateful for it. My plan is to get whatever I...

    Avoiding the breakfast trap?

@Anniesantiago I really enjoyed reading your blog piece, lots of great ideas for breakfast and I loved the info on the variety of coffee, I think that Spain must be much like Portugal in that way. One of your descriptions especially made me smile at the thought of pouring iced coffee over...

    Women specific backpacks?

Gossamer Gear make lightweight backpacks that are designed so that the hip belt can be removed and interchanged within much of their range, one of the benefits of this is that they also make different length hip belts. They are an American producer of hiking gear and will ship internationally...
