Sorry if this has already been suggested. THis is what I wear - very comfortable and no ban around the arm.

I am from Canberra, Australia, and have completed three Caminos. We are planning a fourth in 2025. Everyone else has provided the info that I would have, except to say that we have the Great North Walk and the Great South Coast walk (which is newer).
If you're a podcast person, my suggestion...
We started around March 20, 2018, think that was a particularly wet year. We walked for 33 days and it rained for 31 of them. It snowed on that big hill in the forest after Montes de Oca and around O Cebreiro and Fonfria - we were post holing up to our knees at one point (we had to get off the...
Mine went away after about a week. In the mornings, I used corticosteroid cream, took antiinflamatories given to me by the pharmacist and wore light that compression garments on my calves. I just kept walking and elevated my legs every day in the afternoon.
It does go away eventually. You might...
I have walked three Caminos. The Frances with my sister in 2016, the Frances with my husband 2018 and just finished the Norte on June 22.
Aside from preparing physically and having my kit in order, my mental preparation consists of having no expectations and expecting the unexpected. I also...
Just a thought. My husband and I were accosted by four, unrestrained, barking dogs, running towards us, as we were heading into Corteporcos on the Norte.
It was scary but I automatically went into beast mode. I screamed wildly at them (in both Spanish and English), made myself bigger, widened...
Thankyou for your replies 😀
We are travelling to Hendaye via train, walking to the Hendaye decathlon to grab a pole each and then getting the ferry to Hondarribia, hence trying to find a credencial there. If all else fails I could do the blank paper thing or chase one up in Irún 👍🏼
Hi @tjz, good point.
I have tried this but the store is charging me $46.00 AUD for shipping to Australia. It will only allow me to select one shipping method, hence the $46.00 shipping.
I've been meaning to chat to @ivar about it.
Ivar, are there any other options for postage? I don't need...
Hi Everyone,
My husband and I will be starting the Norte (and then Primativo) 16th of May. We have decided we don't want to start in Irun and would prefer to start from Hondarribia. Does anyone know of somewhere to purchase a credencial there?
Thanks in advance.
Tara
I'm starting mid May too and I'm super excited but I have a band tour in my home country to do before I leave and one in EU after I finish, so lots to get done before I go!
We may! If we start from Irun, my husband and I will probably be about 5 days behind you, starting on May 17. We haven't decided if we are starting from Irun or Bilbao yet as we aren't sure if we want to do a few rest days before Dave flies home and I travel onto the UK at the end of June. But...
