    How empty is the Lisbon section?

    We are at Santarem after walking from lisbon. Yesterday was busy day. 1 french guy 2 irish ladies 2 koreans and a czeck and Lithuanian. Nice and peaceful with good weather. Tuesday 7th may. Not at all like the Francis at this time of year. It will not get much busier!

    Why do people start in Porto? Why not start at the start which is Lisbon.much better experience and then finish at at a later date when you are able.

    hi We used Raw travel in 2016. Excellent company based in Melbourne. Australia. Camino Frances. Booked with them again in May for the coastal Portuguese. Supplied guide book and maps and luggage transfer. Nothing was too much trouble. We are in our 60s . David.

    Most expensive tour yet?

    Try Raw travel in Melbourne Australia. We did 42 days full Camino st jean to Santiago. Accommodation, luggage transport and 4 paradors. Aprox $5000. Excellent company.

    You should consider a cheap smart phone or tablet and use it for wifi. Would keep your family happy if they could keep in contact with you. All the best for your camino. David

    I think about my walking the camino every day. I drink from a spanish plastic water bottle i was given at a stop for the night. Tragic eh?

    Has anyone completed the trail on inline skates?

    Why oh why would you even think about skating. You would be too busy watching out for obstacles oh and forget about meeting and talking to others during the day. I wonder about cyclists as well.
