It would be such a shame if Rome2rio is not as reliable as it has been. I have come to trust it as my first source to see what connections are available. I guess as they say change is constant just not always appreciated.
I very much enjoyed the book. It was my first book on the Camino and what got me to start planning to go. It took me a few years before i went in 2018. I liked the spiritual aspect of the book.
We have definitely been thinking of the Portuguese Camino from Lisbon or Tomar. At this time we are thinking Spring of 2022 just seems like waiting out 2021 will be best.
I am ready to go and I accept the prices as needed to support the Camino. My spouse and I hope to do the Portuguese Camino from Tomar next Fall but who knows. I enjoy on the comments on the board and hearing all the veterans of many Caminos views.
Thanks Paul, I read 'Ego Trip: 40 days ans 40 nights on the Camino de Santiago' a few months ago and really enjoyed it so looking forward to reading 'Northbound: 30 days on the Camino Portugues - and onward to Finisterre'.
Here are a couple of books I have thought about getting as I plan our Portuguese Camino. I have not read them so can't personally recommend them.
Walk by My Side: A Solo Journey to Santiago on the Portuguese Camino
by John Comando
Portuguese Camino - In Search of the Infinite Moment
by Terence...

I very much agree follow the arrows there were a few confusing spots on our Camino last fall but just a little looking took care of it. We helped a couple walkers who missed the arrows. They were so intend on following the app and not really looking at the way. Using the arrows I think helps...
My spouse and I completed our first Camino in Oct of last year and really never felt it a theme park or over commercialized. It was to touristy in some bigger towns but that was not necessarily because of the Camino anyway we pretty much just walked through those areas. We did follow Brierly...
Just wishing you the best for your Camino. My wife and I are starting on the 7th of September and truly looking forward to time with each other and with God. Thanks all of the regulars on the forum for all the advice we have read and tried to sort through to find what is best for us.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on your Camino. Appreciate all that the pilgrim's on this site has to say. Looking very much forward to my first coming up in Sept. Getting anxious to be on the road.
