    Sticks or no sticks?

I used my walking poles every day on our camino. Probably would have not made it quite so well in some spots without them. Upper arm strength was increased considerably and inches on arms were lost. Only slight inconvenience was putting on and off the rubber tips. But we were probably more...

    Water Bottles on Shoulder Strap/Hipbelt?

I also knitted myself a water bottle carrier. However, this was after our Camino. while on the Camino I had two water bottles in the hip holder of my backpack. How much weight did you lose?

I was so pleased to have lost 15 lbs. 1" off each thigh, and hips, waist and bust. Used my poles every day and lost 1/ 2" off each arm. Passed on bread 90% of the time. Be careful sending luggage to Santiago

    other shoes?

I have decided to wear Keen hiking shoes and take Keen sandals. Have never been able to wear flip flops for any length of time. As I have no fat pads on my feet, I need to have a decent pair of shoes to walk on pavement. The hiking shoes are great on trails but my feet burn if I wear them too...
