    If you walk to Burgos, get a taxi once you get to the outskirts. Take the taxi to the center of town.

    No, I have a hat with vents and a wide brim that does the protection. On the Ingles in '19, I had to shield my face with a bandana on the way to Bruma.

    How many pairs of shoes did you go through?

    I walk primarily in a very broken in pair of Hoka Ones. Halfway through the walk, I change to a very good walking sandal. Once in Santiago, I leave my Hokas behind after a traditional photo op on the steps of the cathedral with my shoes showing on the pillar.
