Hi… walking the Via Podensis to SJPP and would like to continue on to Bayonne. Is the route easily done in reverse or if not easy not overly confusing?. Thank you
The Pilgram house near St. Peters Square. Tried twice with the Swiss guards without success so went to Pilgram House. ..not quite as ceremonial as Santiago but it's something : )
Totally agree with Robo and trecile. ...however much appreciated a fellow pellegrino with a bag of extra rubber pole tips when I had lost one of mine!!! : )
Another septaugenarian
Another septuagenarian here doing the Portuguese from Lisbon in October, did the Frances in May. Very interested in the Via Francigena.
.where are you starting??
Tess I stayed there as well and concur with everything you've reported... not what I expected and definately not a relaxing, comfortable atmosphere. Live and learn : ) Fortunately all my positive camino experiences far outweighed the two nights I spent at the house.
Hi, thank you . Are you arriving on the 22nd? My flight gets in at 6am. I'll be going to This Is Lisbon Hostel to drop my pack then food and on to see the sights. Not sure how to go about meeting but would very much enjoy if we did.
Hi from Colorado! Having walked and thoroughly enjoyed the Camino Frances, St Jean to Santiago to Finisterra to Muxia, this spring... I am coming back in the fall for more!
I booked my flight to Lisbon yesterday and will arrive very early on September 22 2017, which also happens to be my 70th...
Lol... prefer the ups n downs as well... suppose we'll have a good mixture along the Camino! Leave the states in 11 days and no real idea what to expect.. yikes!! : )
Hi..Will most likely spend an extra night in SJPP and start out on the 27th due to probable jet lag; don't get to SJPP until after 7 pm on the 25th. Green osprey with mountain patch, red ball cap, blk pants or shorts : ) I'll keep a look out!
